Tienanmen Square 22 Years Later

June 4th and 5th is the twenty second anniversary of the true face of Red China.

In the weeks before June 4, 1989, nearly one million workers and students occupied Beijing's Tienanmen Square to demonstrate for liberty and democracy and against the corrupt, oppressive communist system in Red China.

As the Chinese Army units located in Beijing refused to put down the protesters, the communist government in China brutally slaughtered thousands of these citizens by rolling in tank units from different regions and assaulting the defenseless people in the square.

Nothing, of course, has changed in China in the subsequent twenty two years. Over the last week, the oppressive ChiCom internal security forces have been rounding up anyone suspected of desiring to organize or participate in a remembrance of the slaughter of innocents. See http://bit.ly/ivlZEP

Despite Red China's attempt to demonstrate to the world that they are a respectable first world nation and budding superpower, events like Tienanmen Square, suppression of its people's Internet usage, hostilities towards the United States military, threats against Taiwan, and spy operations against the United States show the true nature of this brutal, Fascist regime.

As Ronald Reagan said, communism will be tossed into the ash bin of history. With China, it will just take longer than many of its imprisoned citizens shall survive.

Our Financier Snubs Obama Again

Red China says NO to a proposed "fence mending" visit from Sec. Def. Gates while he was in the region.

Hey Obama - how is that era of improved foreign relations coming along? How does this help us address North Korean aggression?

I've said it before - weakness invites attack, from terrorists, competitor nations, and politicians. The Obama regime is so obviously out of their league on the world stage that they endanger Americans every second the regime remains in power.

I Hope This Changes

The B. Hussein Obama Administration, the "smartest people in the room", the calm and detached believers in soft diplomacy, the anti-cowboys, appear to be spoiling for a fight with the United States' single largest creditor, Communist China. It appears that elements of the ChiCom's political class want this fight as well.

While I have no love for Communists, and detest Communist China particularly, I know Obama has no stomach for a military confrontation, which the US would decisively win.

Instead, having bloated the debt markets with cheap US Bonds, Obama will pick a fight with China over currency manipulation. China has the capacity, and may be looking for an excuse, to dump its US debt holdings. If they do so, they will make it impossible for the US to borrow more money in the short term and mid terms.

Because B. Hussein Obama has neither the stomach or the capacity to understand government austerity in such an event, all Obama will be left with is US currency manipulation. Inflation and interest rates with skyrocket, and my prediction of a "Welcome Back Carter" presidency will be fulfilled.

In the long run, the US (or what is left of it) would come out ahead due to the innovative economic thinking of its people, not its government. But, in the long run, we are all dead.

Tell the Truth About China, and Ourselves

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the violent Communist crushing of the peaceful demonstration for freedom being held in Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square, along with the crushing of Prague Spring, the Hungarian Revolution, and Polish Solidarity, remains one of the most visible examples of the freedom crushing nature of centralized government.

In the years since the Tiananmen Square massacre, China remains a slave state. Its people cannot speak or work as they choose, cannot affect the direction or composition of their government, and cannot foresee a future for themselves where this will change. Fundamentally, China is North Korea with more lightbulbs.

The Chinese Statist government that controls all economic activity takes in billions of dollars from the United States, but instead of improving the lives of the Chinese people, it purchases American debt, American companies, and other production and transportation world wide. Communist China is not doing this to provide freedom and innovation to the United States or elsewhere. These are acts of control by a Communist government obsessed with control.

The control obsessed Communists are this very day blocking off access to Tiananmen Square, lest there be an expression of political freedom in that country. The Communists have shut down the Internet and social gathering within China lest freedom-minded citizens discuss the fact that they are still slaves to a corrupt, illegitimate, oppressive government.

The people of China have a dream. Their dream is the American Dream: the right as individuals to pursue their own happiness. The recognition by a government, which has the consent of the governed as the source of its legitimacy, that all people are endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights that provide individuals with the freedom to control their own destinies, own their own homestead, keep the fruits of their own labor, and choose their own way forward without being dictated to by a government. The American Dream is the freedom to choose -- what you buy, what you eat, who you employ, who you purchase goods and services from, and how you spend your own money. The American Dream also the dream of China’s people.

Freedom of the individual to choose his or her own way is the only path that provides productive innovation and economic prosperity. No central government can ever direct innovation or prosperity into existence. Statism always leads to repression.

It sickens me that in the 20 years since the Tiananmen Square uprising, China still has a repressive internal security service, no freedom of thought or speech or political expression, no sense or hope of a representative government. The Communist Statists in China’s dictatorial government show no more inclination towards freedom than their predecessors. The moment has been lost, and the United States is enabling the further subjugation of the Chinese people by sending our money there.

But it sickens me far more greatly that in the same time period, our own nation has moved away from the dream of China’s people and our national dream: we are less free to choose and seem destined to become even less so. How long will it be before the United States will require its own Tiananmen Square?

GM Goes "green"; Hummer Goes Red

Government Motors says that it has found a buyer for our Hummer brand - Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. of Red China. The Socialists sell to Communists. Perfect. I suppose the Chinese government can pay for Hummer with some of the soon-to-be-worthless Treasury bills they have.

Now for the really funny part: GM said the sale will likely save more than 3,000 U.S. jobs in manufacturing, engineering and at various Hummer dealerships.

The spate of Kool-Aid drinking going on with Government Motors is really hitting unbelievable proportions. The Red Chinese are going to ship the production tools and dies over to Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. in China and fire all the workers in the U.S. Then, they will make the Hummers out of cheaper materials and sell them to the Asian and Middle Eastern markets.

The Obama Administration believes itself so bullet proof that it won’t even have to spin the loss of these jobs.

Robert Gates' Brain Has Rotted

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates is keeping up his long-held mantra (can’t blame Obama for this position Gates is taking) to normalize relations with the government in Iran. This government is run by a hostage-taker who stormed the United States Embassy in Iran and held Americans hostage for 444 days. That government. The government that calls the United States the “Great Satan.”

As to Iran’s rapidly developing nuclear weapons program, Gates says we and our “allies” (remember, Obama says we don’t have any allies anymore) need to convince Iran that its nuclear arms program will set off an “arms race” that will allegedly leave Iran less secure.

What the what???

Exactly what arms race does Gates think Iran is going to run? The United States has already won the arms race with Iran. What else will the US and its “allies” have to spend to win this arms race with Iran? What in the world does Gates think Iran is spending its money to achieve. I can guarantee you Iran’s government could not care less what the United States is spending its arms money on.

Gates’ other bad idea to isolate Iran is to pursue a “partnership” with Russia on missile defense programs. Oh yea, our “allies” (like Russia, one supposes) also need to put economic sanctions on Iran. You know, because they have been so willing to do so before.

So, Robert Gates, let me hip you on a few things.

First, Iran’s nuclear program is not aimed at the United States, and it will not engage the United States with a nuclear bomb. There is no arms race we can run that will be joined by Iran. No such arms race will destabilize Iran. Your plan is the same sort of mushy Harvard dorm room thinking that got Korea to give up its nuclear ambitions. Oh wait, North Korea is still pursuing the bomb. Well, I guess you got an A on your paper in college. This ain’t college.

Second, we don’t have allies. Obama said so. And Obama is right, when it comes to asking countries like Russia, China, Turkey, and others to stop providing Iran with trade, commerce, and materials and hit Iran with sanctions. Gates is starting to act like the skank gutter trash that keeps getting kicked to the curb, but still goes back to his abusive boyfriends China and Russia because he really, really wants to be liked by these abusive louts.

Third, missile defense programs are there to protect us FROM Russia. Cooperation with Russia on the systems merely gives Russia the ability to defeat our defenses. Did you not take an oath to DEFEND the United States.

I hope somebody in the Senate grows a pair an calls Gates out on this mushy-headed thinking. Gates is starting to sound like a full blown McGovernite.

Timmah! Geithner opens mouth, kills markets

Timothy Geithner, at the Council on Foreign Relations today, said the U.S. is "open" to a proposal from the governor of the China's central bank to create a new global currency to replace the dollar. Looks like Timmah! sees no need for the United States to maintain sovereignty over its own currency. While Timmah! Hedged by comparing what China proposed as an evolution to the IMF’s special drawing rights, the Communist Chinese proposal was clearly one designed to replace all national currencies with a global currency.

"We’re actually quite open to that suggestion – you should see it as rather evolutionary” said Geithner.

As a results, the dollar took a nosedive in currency trading, and the US stock market indices moved into negative territory after enjoying a modestly good morning.
