The Jobs Bill Joke

All this talk about a "Jobs Bill" is downright laughable. The government cannot create jobs (certainly not private sector, entrepreneurial jobs). The government can only create more government, and to do so, will rob the economy of job producing private capital.

For a president that claims he is not an ideologue, all of his proposed solutions only come out of one book: Das Kapital by Karl Marx.

The Republicans should put forth a real solution: deep, permanant cuts to the federal tax rates, and deep, permanent cuts to the federal budget, starting with so-called "entitlements."

Tonight's Joe Wilson Moment

Following up on Joe Wilson's "You lie!" is Justice Samuel Alito's head shaking "Not true."

A supreme Court Justice is under no obligation to withhold criticism of any other Constitutional officer, even the President. Especially when the President tries to intimidate the members of the Supreme Court.

Good for Justice Alito. And God Save this Honorable Court.

Massachusetts: Nope! Keep the Change

Tonight, none less than the Peoples Republic of Taxachusetts voted to reject the Obama-Pelosi-Reed Democrat plan to socialize health care in the United States.

The nation is on day 25 of the Democrat-only behind closed doors plotting to socialize the nation’s health care system, take away your medical insurance, increase taxes, and degrade the health of all United States citizens and really, the world.

And 364 days after the Anointed One occupied the Office of the President, the nation, through the election of Scott Brown, gave a clear message to Washington and the Democrats – HANDS OFF OUR HEATHCARE.

Not that liberals will listen. Being a liberal means never having to say you are sorry because you know better than voters how to spend their money and run their lives.

For the citizens watching their nation being spent into bankruptcy and their freedoms being lost, they did the only thing they controlled.

Scott Brown reminded the Democrats that the Massachusetts Senate seat belonged to the people, not the Democrats. The Democrats better keep in mind that our healthcare insurance, our relationships with our doctors, and our money belong to US, not THEM.

This is a stinging defeat of the Democrat’s socialist agenda. With double digit unemployment, and declining dollar, and out of control government spending, let me remind the Democrats what they once knew – It’s The Economy Stupid! Government takeovers must stop now. Scott Brown in the Senate will make it harder for Obama to keep socializing our economy.

UPDATE: Democrat Senator Jim Webb of Virginia, a supporter of socialized health care, tonight called for a suspension of Senate votes on health care until Scott Brown is seated in the Senate. I sense that Jim Webb's views of socialized medicine are "evolving."

Hey John Ensign - Zip It

So the philandering ethically- and morally-challenged Senator John Ensign wants everyone to just leave the racist Harry Reid alone because he apologized. Ensign says that people should just accept apologies and leave it at that.

I bet he does.

Senator Ensign was caught in an affair with one of his staffers and conducted a "pay to play" scheme with her husband. The FBI is investigating the matter, and indictments may well be forthcoming. But, he's sorry, and we should just accept apologies and leave it at that.

Senator Ensign should become Senator Resign. At this point, Ensign's replacement would be a Republican, and Ensign will not survive a primary challenge. Stick a fork in him -- he's done.

More importantly, he should have the sense to stay out of the way of a purely political fight when he is such damaged goods. Providing cover for Harry Reid is not going to help him in the least. The GOP will still reject him at the polls and Eric Holder will still make sure he is indicted.
